28. The Horror, The Horror

The plain white envelope was buried in the rest of the mail; I didn’t even notice it at first.  I tore it open, casually glancing at the words.  My heart stopped:  IRS audit.

  2. This brought back awful memories. Last year, the IRS contacted us. It started a months-long pen pal relationship. Just awful. We finally settled on a dollar amount that would give us a clean break for good.

    If I have nightmares about the IRS tonight, I'll blame it on you :lol:
